The second-hand
instrument shop
Almost every week we receive instruments of every kind, from people who no longer use them or who simply want to give them to us. They are often valuable instruments.
The best ones we send to the music schools we support; the rest we sell, and with that money we pay the teachers and the rent on the rooms where lessons are held.

Where the money goes
The proceeds pay the music teachers and the rent on the rooms. In Burundi, for instance, we paid for a long time the guard who watched over the school day and night. But we also need photocopiers, printers, computers, paper, CDs and plenty of other far less romantic things.
Given the sheer number of instruments donated to us, we even had to open a small second-hand shop, in Trento.
Come and see
The shop is at Centro Musica Trento, via della Malpensada 136 — the youth-policy project of the City of Trento, entrusted to UpDoo! oo, run by Lorenzo Frizzera. You can come either to buy an instrument or to donate anything you think might be useful to us.
We also collect instruments in Rovereto and, for larger ones, we will come and pick them up locally.
What we take
More or less everything: guitars, keyboards, drums, wind and string instruments, amplifiers, cases, strings, cables, music stands, microphones.
Broken or incomplete instruments too: when we can we repair them, and when we cannot we salvage the parts.
You can follow the latest donations on our Facebook page or on Mercatino Musicale.
Some of what passes through

The photographs are examples: stock changes constantly, so it is worth asking.
